A BATH ON A HOT SUMMER DAY

During the summer, Seamus and Stella need to get bathe more often because they spend more time playing outdoor. Both were well overdue for a nice bath.

I bathe Seamus and Stella with an oatmeal shampoo.  When I do not make a homemade oatmeal shampoo, I use the "Burt's Bees" oatmeal shampoo for dogs. This brand is made with Colloidal Oat Flour and Honey, which provides skin moisture and makes the fur shine. This shampoo has a pH balanced for dogs and does not contain any colorants.

Both of them enjoyed a nice and relaxing bath, and their coats look very clean and super soft!

After taking a bath, Seamus and Stella enjoyed a late afternoon play date in their yard. Stella loves to play with her ball, and Seamus loves to hang around in the yard, watching the birds, and chasing the squirrels.

Update on Seamus' dog food

Seamus did not tolerate the raw dog food well. During my dog food search for Seamus,  I found out about this healthy and all natural dog food with added minerals and vitamins.

This dog food is a dehydrated and grain free formula, and it is made with human grade ingredients. All the ingredients are gluten-free and there is no fillers, preservatives or by-products added to the food.

"The Honest Kitchen" makes different varieties of this healthy dog food. I have bought the vegetables and the chicken/vegetables brands. When I feed them the all vegetable brand, I boil chicken and add it to their food. The food is dehydrated and you just need to add warm water, stir well for three minutes to hydrate it, and it is ready to serve.

Seamus and Stella love this kind of food, and Seamus has not been having any stomach issues for the past several weeks. They are enjoying all the healthy ingredients, including apples, kelp, pumpkin, and chicken.

Raw Frozen Dog Food

I have tried many varieties of dog food for Seamus because he has a very sensitive stomach. His stomach gets upset and he throws up with certain food brands.  We have had many veterinarian visits due to this problem.

After researching this, we decided to put Seamus and Stella on a raw frozen dog food diet. This diet does not have any wheat, rice, grains, cereal, soy or gluten. Because it is raw, it does not affects the dog's natural digestive system.

Seamus and Stella transitioned well to the raw food diet. Seamus' stomach issues have improved and he seems to be tolerating this food well. Since he is being on this new diet he is being feeling better.

In addition to the raw food, they are drinking raw goat's milk formula for dogs.  The goat's milk is full of nutrients that are beneficial to their health.

I will keep you posted on Seamus' health...

Christmas at Walt Disney World

We Went to Walt Disney World for Christmas. We decided to bring Seamus and Stella with us instead of leaving them at the pet resort that they usually go to.

This was Stella's first long car ride since she came to our house.  She did very well! She was very happy sitting on my daughter's lap during the car ride. Seamus loves to travel and enjoyed the long trip to Florida.

On the way to Florida, we spent the night on a nice pet friendly hotel. I am glad that there is more pet friendly hotels and their fees are not that high.

Seamus and Stella stayed at the Walt Disney World pet resort while we were on vacation in Orlando, Florida.

The Walt Disney Pet resort is amazing!! Seamus and Stella had a great time there. The pet resort staff was great.  We were able to come by every day to visit them and take them for a walk around the pet facility. This made their stay more enjoyable because they were able to play and be out of their kennel more often.

All the family had a magical time at Walt Disney World. Christmas day at the Magic Kingdom was very special!  We will definitely do this again in the future.
